Kanye West Receives Honorary Doctorate From the School of the Art Institute of Chicago

Kanye West receives his honorary doctorate degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago today.

The honorary doctorate is given to “influential individuals” who earned “this distinguished award through their work, which is always imaginative and aesthetically rich, and sometimes also provocative and controversial, shifting the cultural landscape in significant ways.” The recipients are also considered “remarkable examples of creative success and determination, who are often inspirations to our students, faculty, and entire SAIC community.”

“There’s still this sense that high art is what we do, is what we honor, is what we’re about. And that pop culture is not what we teach in art school,” Dean Lisa Wainwrigh said. “Pop culture, mass culture—that’s a whole other thing, and we’re about high art. I think that’s a problem. We’re trying to collapse those boundaries a little bit. That’s what I like about Kanye.”

  1. To gain valuable insights into your organization’s operational efficiency,
review the options available within the Count –
Wise catalogue today. How is there going to be a meaningful recovery with that going on, and why isn’t the mainstream media reporting on this huge Fannie and Freddie taxpayer rip-off.
EINS Education, in collaboration with Welingkar Institute of Management, provides an expertly designed program in E-Business which focuses on establishing a
    successful entrepreneur of the future.

  2. This is completely the wrong thing to do as many of them miss
opportunities to save money and also they cannot
find out how profitable their business is until the end of the year.
But newcomers don’t account for all of the mature students who attend business colleges.
That allows you to have more room for inventory or other equipment
that you could use to improve your business.
